anime freak

cartoon KAT-TUN anime special! their guest was the anime/cosplay expert and manga artist, shoko nakagawa who was very good at drawing and imitating anime characters especially sailormoon! *highschool flashback* so they talked about anime stuff (of course) dragonball, sailormoon and the likes, fave scenes, etc. to prove how big of an anime freak the guest was, she challenged KAT-TUN for an anime theme song guessing game and it was funny how the KAT-TUN members were so dying to answer! they would even sing along some of the themes. as a surprise for their guest, they had Ichiru Mizuki in the show, the original singer of the mazinger z theme. wow pati ako na-surprise! and there was even a drawing segment on the show where everyone did a cellphone "humanisation". Watch it here: http://www.crunchyroll.com/media-291968/Cartoon-Kat-Tun-Episode-43.html

not for fangirl haters

I said that I wouldn’t write anymore j-stuff because I myself am already getting tired of reading my redundant posts. And while the whole country is trying to recover from typhoon Frank's rage, here i am ranting and raving like a teenybopper. Gomen ne, I guess I can’t stop the fangirl in me...Okay there’s this boyband that I like, yes, boyband. im not a fan of boybands nowadays because I find them boring and cheesy most of the time but these guys are different. They’re actually POP IDOLS in Japan. Kinda like F4 in Taiwan but way way better! (omg im sorry F4) and hotter! They’re called KAT-TUN which is an acronym for Kamenashi, Akanishi, Taguchi, Tanaka, Ueda and Nakamura, their names of course. i only saw them a while ago and right now I dying to buy their album already! Exaggerated noh? Actually before I became a fan, I was already very fond of their lead vocalist, Akanishi Jin. I’ve been watching his j-doramas not so long ago. So ayun pwedeng sya ang dahilan ng obsession na ito hehe. Joke!

Perhaps for some people, they may just be like typical asian boy groups with thin eyebrows who do singing, dancing, a bit of acting, blah blah blah. But these guys are exceptional. They all started out as kids/teenagers at Johnny’s Entertainment (sort of like a talent agency that produced a lot of young male pop idols in Japan). If I remember it right, before you can enter Johnny’s, you should be able to pass the audition and do backflips. Their dancing for me is at the same level as that of our Maneouvres. Not bad di ba? Akanishi is god-like when he dances, I swear! Singing-wise…well aside from their lead vocalists, they have a rapper and a beatbox in the group. Sosyal! I think their genre is bordering between pop and rock (baka maraming mag-disagree dito) and that’s another reason why I like them. And I must say that their music videos kick ass. Astig ng concept! And their live concerts are just as astig. Ganda ng effects! Ang galing talaga ng Japanese!

I almost forgot that they also host their own show, Cartoon KAT-TUN. One time they had Larc-en-ciel(a j-rock band) as a guest in one of their episodes and Hyde, the lead vocals, confessed that he likes doraemon! KAT-TUN, Larc-en-Ciel and doraemon in one show—kawaii!!! Not only did they have local artists as a guest. They had Avril Lavigne, Alicia Keys, Ne-yo and Nicolas Cage even! Ang kukulit pa ng segments nila. If you want to see what im blabbing about, they’re all over youtube and crunchyroll. Hay, I could talk about them all day. I could even devote another blog for Akanishi Jin! Pero eto na lang for now. Jaa ne! Akanishi-kun, aishiteru yo!
