overjoyed

yesterday my eleven-year-old cousin got home from school all excited to show me something. she told me not to get too overjoyed as she reached into her bag and pulled out her surprise--torn japanese magazine pages that contain jin akanishi, KAT-TUN and other JE idol articles!!! i got so ecstatic and puzzled at the same time. are those for real? how the heck was she able to get those? in school!? then she told me they had this activity to make a collage out of old magazines and her classmate happened to bring 2006 issues of myojo and duet mags, a magazine that solely features japanese idols (they're like the Bop, BB and Teenbeat of japan). hahaha kids' junk nowadays... good thing they didn't cut out jin's pic for their project. ;D although i've already seen those articles online from fan scans, it still feels different when you are holding the real thing even if it's not the whole mag. buti na lang my cousin is smart enough to know about my love for those kinds of stuff particularly for jin which i am constantly denying to her. now that i cant deny it anymore, she always makes sumbong to my parents about my jin addiction. she could be so annoying but i still thank God for an awesome little cousin! by the way, she told her classmate to bring more of those mags today. YATTA!

you see, even if i try to keep myself from going online so i could stop fangirling, this happens. for the past few months i've been blogging about my japanese boys and now im afraid this "men-who-can-pull-off-a-feminine-look fetish" keeps getting worse. oh well at least im happy.

some people have all the luck

while doing my usual kat-tun rounds over the internet, i came across a kat-tun page by a filipino fan girl. at first, i was actually having fun reading and even posted a comment. she even wrote back. i was so excited to know that someone shares the same passion i have for kat-tun (for akanishi jin in particular). but as i was browsing more into her pages, i was so surprised to learn that she's got a whole lot of kat-tun stuff--magazines, uchiwa(fan), necklaces! (the same ones that kat-tun have), dvds and photobook!!!! and she's got even more than what i see in japanese fan pages. OMG! Laos ang pagka-fangirl ko!!!! she's got to be rich. i mean how much is one uchiwa? Php700? a magazine also costs about the same. (more than triple pa ng Bop and BB nung panahon ko). how much more yung mga dvds and accessories? and those things are not even available here in the third world. i can tell that she's that type of fangirl that would be able to spend that much to be in the front row during the kat-tun philippine tour (someday) and would be able to avail one of those meet-and-greet passes! this is what i was talking about in my previous post! i am so freaking jealous right now i feel like crying!!!! gosh i wanna die now! somebody needs psychiatric help...

akanishi post

to end this post... here are translated quotes from jin akanishi. natutuwa ako sa kanya kasi he seems to be mature at such an early age. he's good with children and there are videos to prove that. gusto nya na magkaroon ng pamilya! he wants to have 5 kids?! by the time na iluwal ko yung pangatlo baka high-risk na ko. huhuhu! hindi talaga ko pwede for him. he deserves someone younger. grrrrrrrrr!

"Marriage? I hope to get married early on. I want to be a young dad, with 3 kids (laugh). I'll definitely be embarrasingly affectionate with my own children. If I had a daughter, I don't even know if I'd be able to work (laugh). I have a family friend with a kindergarten-aged daughter, and the other day, she said, "If Jin comes to my school's arts festival, I'll do my best!" I went, and even woke up early for it."

"Even with my future wife, I don't think it will last long without friendship. If a time comes when I can't see the love between the two of us anymore, if there's still friendship there, our relationship will continue. I think that friendship is created as two people get used to one another, and that as you get used to love, it becomes difficult to see.

Marriage begins not as love but as a more romantic and affectionate feeling, and the love-- rather, passion-- slowly cools off. But, if it's rooted in friendship, if the two can continue on the rest of their lives as friends. So, in a marriage partner, what I look for is someone who can be a friend for life. Doesn't a marriage that starts off with passion and end with friendship sound really cool?"

--JJ magazine, 2006

"Of course, I also hope to get married. I don't understand people who think marriage is a cemetery. Having family is something essential in everyone's life. So, I want anywhere from 3 to 5 kids. I'm not kidding (laugh). I would want my wife to do housework, after all. That doesn't mean I want her to do everything by herself, but I wouldn't want her to be someone who feels that she doesn't have to do anything. Plus, I wouldn't be the domineering husband type, so I have a feeling that as a couple, we would still be like friends. Even after getting married, it would be like having a friend over and having fun together. Wouldn't that be great?"

--Popolo, March 2008

Cartoon KAT-TUN 040608 (he was interviewing 3 girls. one of them said that she goes out with 3 guys at the same time)

Jin: Do you have a physical relationship with all of them?

Girls: No, isn't it weirder if you didn't?

Jin: Exactly... Are you together just for this?

Girls: Don't you give in to your hunger? By like taking meals and stuff. I am just saying, it's not just like that. I mean, there's nobody who limits herself to just one person. Really. Boys can't be trusted. What of half they say are all lies.

Jin: That's not true. I am not. For me, when we are dating, it is a time for me to know each other better before marriage. So I don't date someone without thinking of marriage. (mp: winner to! finally, someone who's on my side. i was surprised that he said this. i totally agree with his views on love and marriage. dapat ikuwadro ang quote na ito)

Girls: So you're saying dating and marriage are not two different things but one whole together, like an extended match? You're young. Young.

Girls: Like for me if I am dating someone really hot and cute and I really like him, but if you ask me if I can marry him, my answer's definitely a no.

Girls: Yah, I definitely can't too.

Jin: For me, at that point of time, I'll break up

anime freak

cartoon KAT-TUN anime special! their guest was the anime/cosplay expert and manga artist, shoko nakagawa who was very good at drawing and imitating anime characters especially sailormoon! *highschool flashback* so they talked about anime stuff (of course) dragonball, sailormoon and the likes, fave scenes, etc. to prove how big of an anime freak the guest was, she challenged KAT-TUN for an anime theme song guessing game and it was funny how the KAT-TUN members were so dying to answer! they would even sing along some of the themes. as a surprise for their guest, they had Ichiru Mizuki in the show, the original singer of the mazinger z theme. wow pati ako na-surprise! and there was even a drawing segment on the show where everyone did a cellphone "humanisation". Watch it here: http://www.crunchyroll.com/media-291968/Cartoon-Kat-Tun-Episode-43.html

not for fangirl haters

I said that I wouldn’t write anymore j-stuff because I myself am already getting tired of reading my redundant posts. And while the whole country is trying to recover from typhoon Frank's rage, here i am ranting and raving like a teenybopper. Gomen ne, I guess I can’t stop the fangirl in me...Okay there’s this boyband that I like, yes, boyband. im not a fan of boybands nowadays because I find them boring and cheesy most of the time but these guys are different. They’re actually POP IDOLS in Japan. Kinda like F4 in Taiwan but way way better! (omg im sorry F4) and hotter! They’re called KAT-TUN which is an acronym for Kamenashi, Akanishi, Taguchi, Tanaka, Ueda and Nakamura, their names of course. i only saw them a while ago and right now I dying to buy their album already! Exaggerated noh? Actually before I became a fan, I was already very fond of their lead vocalist, Akanishi Jin. I’ve been watching his j-doramas not so long ago. So ayun pwedeng sya ang dahilan ng obsession na ito hehe. Joke!

Perhaps for some people, they may just be like typical asian boy groups with thin eyebrows who do singing, dancing, a bit of acting, blah blah blah. But these guys are exceptional. They all started out as kids/teenagers at Johnny’s Entertainment (sort of like a talent agency that produced a lot of young male pop idols in Japan). If I remember it right, before you can enter Johnny’s, you should be able to pass the audition and do backflips. Their dancing for me is at the same level as that of our Maneouvres. Not bad di ba? Akanishi is god-like when he dances, I swear! Singing-wise…well aside from their lead vocalists, they have a rapper and a beatbox in the group. Sosyal! I think their genre is bordering between pop and rock (baka maraming mag-disagree dito) and that’s another reason why I like them. And I must say that their music videos kick ass. Astig ng concept! And their live concerts are just as astig. Ganda ng effects! Ang galing talaga ng Japanese!

I almost forgot that they also host their own show, Cartoon KAT-TUN. One time they had Larc-en-ciel(a j-rock band) as a guest in one of their episodes and Hyde, the lead vocals, confessed that he likes doraemon! KAT-TUN, Larc-en-Ciel and doraemon in one show—kawaii!!! Not only did they have local artists as a guest. They had Avril Lavigne, Alicia Keys, Ne-yo and Nicolas Cage even! Ang kukulit pa ng segments nila. If you want to see what im blabbing about, they’re all over youtube and crunchyroll. Hay, I could talk about them all day. I could even devote another blog for Akanishi Jin! Pero eto na lang for now. Jaa ne! Akanishi-kun, aishiteru yo!
